Consideration and action on a budget transfer of $34,100 from Unforeseen Grants for the purchase of interoperable radio equipment for the Police Department.
|
| Motion: |
| I move to approve a transfer of $34,100 from unforeseen grants to the Police Department for the purchase of interoperable radio equipment. |
| Background: |
The Police Department has been awarded grant funding in the amount of $34,037.73 from the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) for the purchase of interoperable radio equipment.
This grant provides fully reimbursable funds for the purchase of radio equipment to enhance the current radio inventory. The new radios will be compatible with the regional Project 25 800 MHz system which provides interoperable communications between public safety agencies.
